THANK YOU MR. RAJESH ALEXANDER(ABHUDHABI)  FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE

How can we achieve it?  This is a big question for many aspirants who are having the relevant score for either IELTS or OET or even those who are preparing for IELTS or OET.

As you all are aware NMBI is not accepting clubbing.

The score should be

IELTS

ListeningReadingWritingSpeaking
6.56.577

OET

  1. OET 2.0 pattern is available in GOOGLE. CHECK OET HOME PAGE . YOU CAN DOWNLAOD OET MATERIALS
  • Once you clear it, next step is to obtain the pack from NMBI.
  • Here I would like to suggest something very important. It is always better to give an Irish address to get it fast.
  • I am telling you this from our own experience. It can be your relative or friend, no problem. It is not compulsory that it should be an agent who should receive it on your behalf.
  • Once they receive it, the next step is to get the scanned copy by mail, let them do this without any delay; obviously it will save a lot of time. Scanned copies are perfectly alright for NMBI. If you want let them send the original, you can keep it as a souvenir.
  • Once you receive the pack, print it out, take necessary copies and start distribution to relevant authorities.

There are two sections in the Pack:

Section I:

  • This part should be filled up by the candidate him/herself.
  • All the instructions are given in very simple English, but still I have seen people making a fuss over it.
  • For example: The confusion about Birth Certificate. NMBI is not at all interested in your birth certificate as long as you have a valid passport. That is the primary document of identification for them.
  • You might require it at a later stage because some agencies insist the candidate should have their birth certificate (Since my wife had we didn’t worry about the alternatives but I am sure there will be some solution for that.)
  • Next thing is about additional documentation to validate the name change.
  • What does it mean, this additional document is required only if your name differs from your passport with your educational documents or birth certificate.  Nowadays most of us take passport at very young age, so the name will be same on all hence nothing to worry. NMBI does not require any additional documents.
  • Some times what happens there will be a name change after marriage,(some they add husband’s name as surname) in this case the Notary certified copy of marriage certificate will solve the issue.
  • There is one more chance they require additional document. That is the slight variation of your name how it appears Passport and Educational Docs. I will make it clear, I will put myself as an example for this –Imagine my name is Rajesh P. Alexander on all my Educational Docs, but in my passport it is Rajesh Pallithazhath Alexander.

In this scenario NMBI will ask for an additional document which can be solved very easily.  Take the relevant original documents and go to a Notary Public and they will do it for you. If you are abroad, Indian Embassy can solve the issue for you.

(Some might be thinking, how the NMBI will know about the name since they are not taking any documents other than passport from the candidate. The Section No: 2 has a lot of documents which should be directly sent to NMBI by them and they will obviously follow the name on your school/college register or how your name is registered in the councils)

To fill up the Section 1 is not that difficult, keep your eyes wide open and do it; write only what is necessary in simple English, take good care of the dates, it should match with section 2, when NMBI cross verifies it later.

I advice keep the sec.1 with you and concentrate on Section 2 first., you may ask why, the reason is simple, it gives you an opportunity to make sure that all the documents are gone with correct date and then fill your part accordingly. In case if there are any slight variations, you can rectify it.

For us luckily it was not much difficult to complete the Section 2 but still there were a few occasions which tested our patience, the only solution for this is, to keep calm and persuade them politely to do it. There is no other option, though it is our right, we cannot snatch it from there hand.

Section 2 has four parts

  1. Summary of Education
  • This should be sent to your college/school and the principle or his/her representative should fill up this form which looks a bit complicated but for them it is not that difficult.
  • They have to just copy the transcript on to the given format, attach it with the transcript (to avoid confusion and delay, it is always better to attach the original transcript which you can avail from the school), I have heard that some have sent a copy of transcript attested by the principal.

There is a part called INSTRUCTION HOURS: EQUAL TO X CLOCK HOURS, we have nothing to do here, just leave it.

Always make sure they filled the form in block letters and signed properly along with the correct stamp.

  1. Verification (CCPS) Form
  • This is nothing else but the council verification.
  • This process varies from council to council, some are very co operative and some are not.
  • Some can be done online, there are agencies to help in some states and some insist the candidate should apply directly, so on and so forth.
  • So it is better to check with your concerned councils and they will guide you to what should be done.
  • Or you can take help from Connecting Health Professionals an excellent group of nursing professionals in Face Book, who are always very keen on finding solutions.
  1. Employer Reference Form
  • It is a very simple form which can be filled in a few minutes; some previous employers might use your previous name. (I have already explained how to counter it). Just be polite, cajole them, after all, it is for something which will change your life.
  • I sometimes feel it is a chance given by god to wipe out ego from our life and convert into a better human being, it’s my experience do not be offended.
  • The NMBI requires only your current employer reference (if it is more than one year).Only if it is less than a year you must get the verification done from the recent employer as well.
  • In my opinion, it is always better if you can get done from all the employers because on a later stage the Irish Employer especially HSE Hospitals might require “Verification of Service” (VOS) for fixing the salary, at that time it will be more easy to approach them as they ( the previous employers) are already familiar with you.
  1. Graduate Programme Form

This form is for MSC nurses, some agents tell the aspirants to use this form for PBBSN, but we used the same Transcript for PBBSN. My wife’s cousin who used the above mentioned form for PBBSN also got DL by the way. (Means if the attached transcript is OK, they are not giving hard time.)

All these forms are to be sent directly to NMBI, some will do that after taking a nominal fee and some others will give it in your hand after sealing the envelope, in whichever way try to send it without any delay and always remember to send it though courier services near to the institution, which can be tracked online. (It’s always better to send it through local couriers to save some money. DHL, FEDEX, ARAMEX etc. will drain your pocket.)

If you have done all correctly, your part is done, in the mean time, try to log in every day and one day you will be able to log in and do not be surprised to see this message

No Divisions Found for This Applicant

Do not get dejected, wait patiently and soon you will find all the documents outstanding then slowly you see all that turn into received by NMBI. The date might differ slightly from the date on the tracking but it is not going to make any difference.

For us, the last document received by NMBI, as per tracking was 31/12/2018 but it was updated as 07/01/2019 and then we waited. It’s easy to say waited but every day was like a whole year for us and at last we got fed up and send an email on 31/01/2019, no reply came but the status changed on 06/02/2019 to

Review Pending

Then things went fast, on 26/02/2019 the status changed to

Assessment

And then the real miracle happened for us the next day (27/02/2018). The status changed to

DL Pending

Usually, DL pending means decision is already taken and you can expect the DL within a few days, it’s better to keep the same address of your relative/friend to get it on your behalf because it is coming by snail mail. (In Ireland the postal service is really efficient, within a few days you representative will receive it.)

On 05/03/2019, I got the much awaited call from my friend that he got our DL by post.

This is our own experience and it can be different for others but if you take good care while sending all docs the rest will be done by the NMBI without much delay.

Be honest, do not be wayward in the information you give, be up to the point, do not over right, try to avoid correction ink, be careful with spellings, and don’t give false information. All these will lead into a speedy favorable decision from NMBI. Please, do not take them lightly for the simple process they are doing comparing to NMC, UK.

If this narration is helpful to someone, I am grateful to God

You can Register your CV to HIREHOOD.COM and search for job once your account shows DL pending.

Thank God and regards to all, pray earnestly for all to have a positive decision from NMBI. Anyone has any doubt please feel free to join our fb group Connecting Healthcare Professionals and also follow our fb page - Hirehood.
