Required documents for licensing Process:1. The job offer or an offer letter from your prospective employer2. Passport-size photo with white background 3. Photocopy of your Passport page (with your information)4. College/University Diploma certificate- Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bahraini Embassy5. College/University Transcript of Records /mark list of whole years of study6. Your Professional Registration license (if you are licensed in any other countries, you will also need to include a copy of your license there as well)7. Good Standing Certificate issued by the licensing authority of the country where you last practiced your profession (should not be older than 6 months)8. Copy of your Resumé/C.V.9. Work experience certificates10. Verification report through one of the following companies (Dataflow\Quadrabay): (Verification
of ALL qualifications, full experience, good standing certificate and license)
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR LICENSURE APPLICATION:- Data flow verification of your documents
- Once you get dataflow completed report then you have to get an invitation by facility through electronic system(munshaat.nhra.bh) and the professional will get an invitation email with a link to MEHAN-mehan.nhrs.bh
- Do signup and complete application request by uploading all documents
- Application submission fees 20 BD
- Once a decision is reached, the applicant will be notified through the online system:
- If the applicant needs to pass the licensure exam, the eligibility code will be sent through the online system. Eligibility code validity is for 3month only. Each examination attempts need to get reactivated eligibility code.
- Examination exemption policy :
1. Applicants who hold higher specialization qualifications (Master’s degrees as a minimum)
2. Bahraini or GCC nationals who hold a valid GCC License.
3. Applicants who have 5 years of clinical experience.
Bahrain Nursing Licensure Examination (BNLE):
Non-GCC national could be exempted if they pass an equivalent Bahrain licensure exam within GCC
*UAE (DHA & MOH PROMETRIC, HAAD), Qatar, Oman Prometric "Registered Nurse" and Saudi "Nurse Specialist" are accepted, Saudi (Nurse Technician) Prometric not accepted. Kuwait Don't have Prometric exam yet.
- The applicant must upload the exam result through the online system
A pass mark for Nurses is 50% or above, whilst it is set at 60% for Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists, and Optometrists.Nurses have a total of six examination attempts provided the following conditions are adhered to: Each applicant may attempt the examination four consecutive times provided the attempts are done within a maximum of three years from the date of the first attempt. If the applicant does not pass the exam after the fourth attempt, he/she is required to go through a period of training in a licensed hospital for a minimum of six months.
- If the application is approved a letter addressed to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) will be issued.
- If an application is rejected, the reason for the rejection will be detailed in the online system.
- After the applicant obtains the work permit from LMRA, the following documents must be uploaded through the online system for the license to be issued:
1. Copy of CPR
2. Health fitness certificate from a licensed facility in Bahrain- Upon submission of the health fitness and CPR, the application will be approved if the applicant is found fit.
- A notice to pay will be generated automatically through the online system MEHAN.
- Once the payment is made online, the electronic license will be issued in the applicant’s account in MEHAN.
