Qatar licensing process  for health care professionals (QCHP) 2022 :Nurses, Doctors and Allied health professionals

                Are you looking for QCHP license process to practice in Qatar. Don't worry, Nursing manthra is here to explain all details about Qatar Process.

Application Process:

1. Data flow verification-PSV verification Process of your documents

2. Qatar Prometric exam 

3.Application in Ministry of Public health , state of Qatar.

Documents Required:

1. Passport copy
2. Passport size photograph
3. Educational degree /diploma certificate (convocation certificate needed , not provisional degree)
4. Mark List or transcript
5. Experience certificate based on Professional qualification criteria requirements to each profession.
6. Home country License /Registration and last working country license -Initial registration and renewed copy
7. Resume 
8. Licensing Exam score report -If required by scope of practice. If you have any exemption for exam upload that document.
9. Dataflow verification Report
10. Good standing certificate
11. Police Clearance Certificate from the home country attested from MOFA.
12. CPR certificate
13. QID certificate
14. medical fitness certificate

STEP 1:

DATA FLOW VERIFICATION OF YOUR DOCUMENTS:

• Sign up dataflow page QCHP-QCHP dataflow
• Select the Ministry of Public health state of Qatar
• Proceed with your package
• Has to do dataflow for your Education , License and Experience
• Experience-Last 3 year experience up to 3 employment.

Once you got positive dataflow report then you can apply for Exam or before dataflow also can apply for Prometric Exam.

STEP 2: BOOKING PROMETRIC EXAM:

• The scopes not required to sit for the qualifying exam will be reviewed and evaluated as per the registration Department approved qualification or through panel assessment.

  The Department of Healthcare Professions provides computer based examination (Prometric) for 16 categories of healthcare practitioners as follows:

                    PROIMETRIC SITE

• Register in Prometric site 
• make sure that you are entering exact details which is there in Passport
• Provide exact mail id and phone number over contact information
• Exam fee for each Profession it is different. For nurses it is 225USD. Bank service charges will be there based on USD to your currency conversion depends on your debit or credit card.
• All details related to Prometric exam given in Prometric site.
• For nurses there will be 150MCQ for 3 hours -Registered general nurse. Other professionals depends on specialty. While booking you will get all information.
• For reschedule : 30 days prior  no charges. 5-29 days -40 USD fees, if less than 5 days or fail to appear for exam, reaching 30minutes after to center will --no refund of money
• 20 USD will be charged for score report or score confirmation letter if you loose.
• You will get score report soon after exam.

                  Congratulations on Passing exam.

What to do next. You have to find out an employer. Interviews will be conducted through online videocall options. Or if you have any relatives you can seek their help to get a job offer form Qatar facilities. Get your Visa and reach to Qatar.

Once you selected by a facility remaining application process will be doing by facility. Even you cna also continue process if you have al documents.

STEP3:  REGSITER IN MOH WEBSITE: APPLY FOR EVALUATION:

• You have to login to Department of health care Professionals ,State of Qatar, Ministry of Public health. https://dhp.moph.gov.qa/en/Pages/Home.aspx
• Registration and licensing system.
• Apply for evaluation. Upload all necessary documents and pay evaluation fee about 100QAR.
• Officials will verify your documents . Status will be pending with employer, approved by DHP.
• Inform employer to accept the invitation. Employer will login through institutional account and will do further process and apply for license.
• License fee around 600 QAR.
• your license will be activated after all documents updated in the system.

Here I am mentioning the documents required for temporary license and permanent license.

Temporary License Requirements:

1. Copy of valid QID (front and back) (If applicable) 
2. In case the healthcare practitioner applies for the temporary license without a QID, then the following documents must be submitted: 
 • Medical Test from the home country (Blood Test, Chest X-ray) attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar (MOFA). 
 • Police Clearance Certificate from the home country attested from MOFA.
 3. Undertaking letters for the temporary license for the practitioner and facility (the templates are in the “Additional Attachments” document) has to upload.

• If your application  do not meet the requirements mentioned above will be sent back to you.

• Temporary Licenses shall be valid for a maximum period of 6 months (non-renewable). 

• The practitioner must apply for a licensing application during the temporary license validity period; otherwise, they will have to re-apply for evaluation.

• In case of negative verification reports and proven incidents of fraud, the license will be suspended, practitioner will be banned from practicing immediately and this will result in disciplinary actions on the practitioner. 

•  Original documents/certificates might be requested on a case-by-case basis. 

• Any other documents required to support the application that are not mentioned above must be submitted upon request. 

• Any documents presented in languages other than Arabic or English must be translated to Arabic or English and attached to a copy of the original documents. 

Licensing Requirements :
 1. Copy of valid QID (front and back) (If applicable)

2. Copy of the verification report. 

3. Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from Qatari Ministry of Interior. 

4. Medical report (valid for 6 months), which can be issued by: 
 a. HMC 
b. Medical Commission
 c. Private hospitals (Al Ahli, Al Emadi & Doha Clinic) 
d. Primary Health Care Corporation (For Qataris only) 

 5. Medical report must include:
 HIV test, HCV test, HBV test and Chest X-Ray. 

6. Copy of Valid Recognized CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) course or its equivalent (or CPR registration receipt + undertaking letter that CPR certificate will be submitted upon completion). 

7. Original Certificate of Good Standing must be sent directly from the Registration authority (or authorities) of the most recent required years of work experience, to:

Notes:
 • Applications that do not meet the requirements mentioned above will be sent back to the applicant. 
 • The certificate of good standing will be reviewed during this phase; any misleading information provided will result in further investigations and could result in disciplinary action. 
• It is the applicant’s responsibility to follow up on receiving the certificate of good standing.
 • Applicants/employer representatives can follow up on the certificate of good standing with DHPGoodSt@moph.gov.
